Fabrizio Ravanelli has become the favourite to succeed Didier Deschamps at Marseille and the prospect appeals to the Italian.
The former striker had a spell as a player at the Stade Velodrome between 1997 and 1999 and left France with fond memories of his time on the south coast.
A leap into management would be a big step for Ravanelli, but it is one he would very much like to take with Marseille.
"I’d like to go to Marseille", Ravanelli told France Football.
"I would be honoured.
"My son was born in Marseille. If Marseille call me, I will be ready."
The Italian did admit though that there has not been any contact from the Ligue 1 giants just yet.
"For now, I know nothing. There is nothing official, nothing concrete."
