Inaki Ibanez, Xabi Alonso’s agent, has totally denied reports which have linked the Spanish ace with AC Milan. The Spaniard’s agent was quick to rubbish all such rumours and reaffirm Alonso’s desire to continue playing for Los Blancos for years to come.

Recent media reports from both Italy and Spain claimed that Milan are interested in snapping up the former Liverpool man and that Alonso was ready for a new challenge as well. However, his agent has stamped on this chatter.

“Xabi is a Real Madrid player and he will continue as such”, said Ibanez to spaziomilan.it.

Ibanez also confirmed that his client was very happy to continue representing Real Madrid and stated that the rumors were baseless and had no foundation.

“There is absolutely no truth in this story of Milan’s interest in Xabi. The player has just been crowned European champion with Spain, he still has more two years left on his contract at Real Madrid and he plays in the best league in the world. Why would he want to leave? This story doesn’t have a leg to stand on”, the agent said.

The Spanish midfielder’s representative did not stop there though and also took a shot at the Spanish and Italian media for reporting what he sees as false news.

“There are too many newspapers, both in Spain and in Italy. They write things that are untrue. The only truth is that Xabi Alonso is going nowhere”, blasted Ibanez.

Alonso was an integral part of the Spanish team that recently won the European Championship in Poland/Ukraine. He joined Real Madrid in 2009 from Liverpool for €35M and has two years remaining on his current deal at the Bernabeu.
