Highly-rated midfielder Ganso is available for the right price, the president of his club Santos has confirmed.
Ganso is coveted by a number of Europe’s elite sides, with AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United all believed to be monitoring the 22-year-old’s situation in South America.
Interested parties will get another chance to take a look at the schemer close up this summer, when Ganso travels to the United Kingdom as part of Brazil’s 2012 Olympic Games football squad.
A series of fine performances at the Olympic Games, where Brazil will be seeking their first ever gold medal, would be sure to see bids for Ganso flood in – and they would not necessarily be knocked back, according to Santos president Luis Alvaro Ribeiro.
Indeed, it is only striker Neymar, another Brazilian player hugely admired in Europe, that Santos will not even consider parting with.
“Only Neymar is not transferable”, the Santos president told Portuguese daily Record.
“All the other players, including Ganso, may leave if a good offer comes in”, he added.
Ganso is expected to be a key man for Brazil this summer and he is under contract with Santos until 2015.
