Josep Guardiola has not received an offer to take over as Russia coach.
It has been speculated in Russia that Guardiola has been given the chance to take over the country’s national team in succession to Dick Advocaat.
But the former Barcelona boss has not been approached and is enjoying his time out of football.
“Pep has not received any proposal from the Russian Federation”, said a source close to the Spaniard.
“He is currently in New York with his family and he is planning to stay there all year.”
Guardiola is currently taking at least one year out of football after four hugely successful seasons at the helm of Barcelona.
