Chelsea’s January signing Kevin De Bruyne is settling in well with the Champions League winners’ squad and is confident that the fresh-faced Blues side can produce the goods.

De Bruyne joined Premier League giants Chelsea in the middle of last season and even trained at Cobham – the club’s training ground – for a day before being sent back to ex-side Genk on loan until the end of the season.

Young De Bruyne returned to the club this summer and has been settling well with the new-look Chelsea squad. And the presence of a lot of youngsters in the group has helped the Belgian international to adjust.

The 21-year-old already knew Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku, as all three of them play for the Belgian national team.

“I know a couple of people here already so it’s quite good for integration, I don’t see there being any problems”, said the winger to Chelsea’s official site.

“I know Eden very well, and for a long time. I played with him for the national team and we are the same age so we played together when we were 18, 19.”

The Belgian also spoke about Chelsea’s other new signing Marko Marin. De Bruyne thinks that being young and having been taught to play the game in the same manner will help them gel very quickly.

“Marko Marin is also here and we are all young, so it makes it easier to get to know each other. We also play the same style of football which is good for us, and we will find our way together”, said the former Genk man.

De Bruyne will be hoping that he will get his chance on Chelsea’s pre-season tour of the United States. Fans may find it interesting to see a totally revamped Blues team containing a number of exciting, young prospects in the line-up.
