Manchester City striker John Guidetti is being targeted by a trio of Italian clubs, his agent has claimed.
Guidetti spent last season on loan at Feyenoord and scored 20 goals in 23 Eredivisie games as he took the Dutch top flight by storm.
Now having returned to Roberto Mancini’s Premier League champions, Guidetti insists that he is not ready to remain at the Citizens to warm the bench.
Indeed, the forward told Inside Futbol that he wants to move to a club where he will be handed the number 9 or 10 shirt and charged with leading the line, something impossible to imagine at Manchester City, where Sergio Augero, Carlos Tevez, Mario Balotelli and Edin Dzeko all sit above him in the pecking order.
And so, clubs are circling.
"The boy is being targeted by Lazio, Fiorentina and Sampdoria", Guidetti’s agent Roberto De Fanti told Voetbal International.
"For John, to play in Italy would be a dream and the director of Lazio, Igli Tare, is well aware of that.
"Tomorrow another meeting is scheduled in Milan to discuss it.
"He has a classical style, a bit like Gianluca Vialli."
