Rafael van der Vaart insists that seeing his name linked with former club Hamburg gives him pleasure, but the Tottenham Hotspur schemer has stressed that he is content in London.
The Dutch schemer is a wanted man this summer – and Bundesliga giants Hamburg are leading the chase for his signature.
Van der Vaart remains a popular figure at the northern German club, who are working overtime in an attempt to be able to afford the Holland international.
It has even been mooted that Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas will allow the ex-Real Madrid player to leave White Hart Lane for the right price – but Van der Vaart is in no rush to depart just yet.
"It is amazing how often my name has been mentioned around Europe in these last few days", Van der Vaart told Bild.
"But I can say that at the moment these are only rumours", he added.
"At the moment I will be playing for Tottenham next season. I have had two good seasons in England. I feel good in London."
However, Van der Vaart cannot deny that the fact Hamburg want him to return is a source of great happiness.
"It is amazing that everyone has such positive memories of me. That makes me feel good and makes me happy.
"Who knows, maybe in the future we can once again reach an agreement."
Hamburg are aiming to sign Van der Vaart this summer and a wealthy German businessman, who is a lifelong supporter of the club, is ready to help.
Van der Vaart played for Hamburg between 2005 and 2008 after joining the club from Ajax and remains a popular figure for the side’s faithful.
