Croatian midfielder Danijel Pranjic has signed for Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon.
Available on a free transfer after the expiry of his contract with Bayern Munich, Pranjic had interest from China, which would have represented a lucrative switch, and English Premier League side Everton.
But it is in Portugal where the 30-year-old has opted to relaunch his career.
"I am happy with my choice and happy to have arrived because Sporting is a great club and has a beautiful stadium", said the Croatian.
"I want to have a great season", he added.
"I have always dreamed of playing in Portugal."
Pranjic has inked a three-year contract in Lisbon.
