France winger Florent Malouda is in talks with Brazilian giants Santos over a possible switch.
The 32-year-old is currently under contract to Champions League winners Chelsea, but the Blues are believed to be willing to allow the former Lyon schemer to terminate his present deal, which has one further year to run.
And Malouda, whose wife is Brazilian, could land in South America, if an agreement which suits both parties can be reached.
If that were to happen it would clearly delight Santos coach Muricy Ramalho, who well admits that he rates Malouda extremely highly.
"He is a hell of a player, an old-fashioned player who knows the game. He would be very interesting", said the Santos boss.
"He also has amazing experience and has played for some of the major clubs in Europe."
Malouda is thought to want a contract worth around €2M per year with a €600,000 signing on fee.
