Juventus have snapped up AaB youngster Jacob Barrett after having the Danish star on trial in December.

The 17-year-old winger made a big impression on the Bianconeri, who have chosen to push through a deal for Barrett, signing him to a three-year contract in Turin.

An injury to the winger had threatened to derail the deal, but Juventus were so keen on Barrett they were prepared to hold fire.

"We have given Jacob permission to go to Juventus, although we still need the final papers to show his transfer is finished", said AaB director Lynge Jakobsen to his club’s official site.

"We think this is a formality though", added the AaB man.

Barrett meanwhile cannot conceal his excitement.

"I want to get into the first team and play in front of thousands of fans", said the young winger.
