Chelsea are ready to facilitate a family reunion at Stamford Bridge by snapping up Eden Hazard’s younger brother Thorgan.

According to French sports daily L’Equipe, Thorgan Hazard is under serious consideration at the Champions League winners, who have been alerted to the youngster’s considerable potential; Eden Hazard has even gone on record as stating that Thorgan possesses the more natural ability of the two.

The 19-year-old currently turns out with French Ligue 2 side Lens, but has been repeatedly linked with a move away from Les Sang et Or.

Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon have pondered a swoop, but an approach from Chelsea would surely cause Thorgan to relish the opportunity to link up with his brother in London.

Belgium’s Under-19 coach Marc Van Geersom has praised Thorgan extensively, believing him to be a harder worker.

Nevertheless, Van Geersom believes Thorgan can learn from his brother, something which would be far easier to do if the two played together.

"Thorgan can take a lesson from his brother, he could be beneficial for the team", said the Belgian coach.

"Both are different. The progression of Eden was much faster than that of Thorgan. But Thorgan is more of a hard worker."

Thorgan may be concerned about a lack of playing time at Stamford Bridge though, with the Belgian unlikely to walk into Roberto Di Matteo’s first team.
