Brazilian midfielder Willian sees no reason why countryman Oscar’s imminent switch to Chelsea should derail his own dream move to Stamford Bridge.

Willian is desperate for Shakhtar Donetsk to sell him to the Champions League winners and spoke out after the Blues had a €25M offer for his services refused on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old attack-minded youngster has pleaded with Shakhtar not to block what would be a dream switch to Chelsea, with Willian confident that he would grow both professionally and personally in London.

Chelsea however are on the verge of signing another Brazilian midfielder in the shape of Internacional’s Oscar.

Roberto Di Matteo’s men have agreed terms with Internacional and the player has also undergone a medical with Chelsea. The deal is expected to be pushed through to completion after the Olympics, in which Oscar is competing with Brazil.

Meanwhile, Willian is certain that Oscar’s signing should not stop his own transfer to Stamford Bridge.

"Chelsea were moving ahead with Oscar when they made their last offer for me", said the Shakhtar star to Globoesporte.

"I am sure it will not matter, because the way we play is different.

"He is more in the centre and I am more of an attacking midfielder."

Now Willian admits that all he can do is wait.

"It is a matter of waiting. Hope is the last thing to die and a lot can still happen.

"Maybe a new offer will come."
