Manchester City striker John Guidetti has made warm noises about the possibility of moving to Turkish giants Galatasaray this summer.

Guidetti wants regular first team football next season, which he is unlikely to enjoy at the Premier League champions and all the signs are pointing to a probable exit from Eastlands.

The Swedish hitman saw his stock skyrocket last year with a superb loan spell at Dutch giants Feyenoord; Guidetti scored 20 goals in 23 Eredivisie games, breaking records along the way.

Galatasaray have an interest in taking the forward to Istanbul and it is not something Guidetti would be opposed to, as he is fully appreciative of the stature of the Turkish club.

"It is great to hear that such a big club are interested", Guidetti told Voetbal International, before explaining he has kept track of his countryman Johan Elmander’s stint at the Super Lig giants.

"Istanbul is a great city and Johan Elmander has had a positive time at Galatasaray", added the 20-year-old.

Galatasaray picked up the Turkish title last season, seeing off a strong challenge from rivals Fenerbahce.

Should Guidetti move to Turkey, Champions League football would be on offer – yet another stage for the youngster to make an impact on.
