Newly promoted Spanish side Celta Vigo have entered the race for wantaway Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner, according to Marca.
Bendtner is attracting much interest and the 24-year-old did his hopes of a big summer move no harm at Euro 2012, where he bagged a high-profile brace against Portugal.
The Dane, who spent last season on loan at Sunderland, is desperate to leave Arsenal and the race for his signature has begun to heat up in recent weeks.
He has been linked with Italian pair AC Milan and Fiorentina, clubs in Russia and from Spain, both Malaga and Sevilla have watched developments.
Now though there is a new suitor for the hitman, in the shape of Celta Vigo.
Os Celestes booked their spot back in La Liga last season by finishing second in the Segunda Division and are desperate to ensure their stay back in the top flight is not a short one.
Coach Paco Herrera knows all about Bendtner from his time in England at Liverpool under Rafael Benitez and the Danish international would be welcomed with open arms at the club.
Celta Vigo would also be able to offer the striker a key role, with an important first team position guaranteed, although the pressure would be increased as he is counted upon to fire the club to safety.
It remains to be seen where Bendtner will end up, but La Liga could be an attractive destination for the player.
