Malaga coach Manuel Pellegrini is working hard to keep his players focused on their football despite the administrative chaos surrounding the club.
The Spanish side’s Middle Eastern owners are keen to sell the club they bought two years ago and there have even been missed payments with regards to the players’ wages, something which has caused several to complain to La Liga’s authorities.
Now Pellegrini has a difficult job keeping the focus on the pitch rather than on events off it. And the Chilean admits it is impossible for the players not to be affected by the club’s troubles.
"We’re all trying to focus on the football, but of course there is so much going on that it does affect the boys”, the former Real Madrid manager told AS.
“There is nothing certain about what will happen.
“We can therefore only concentrate on what we have in our hands.
“And that’s the sporting aspect.”
Several of Malaga’s players are wanted men and the Spanish side have already refused an offer of €20M from Arsenal for winger Santi Cazorla.
