Veteran Ukrainian striker Andriy Voronin has joined Bundesliga club Fortuna Dusseldorf on loan.

Voronin lands on the season-long agreement from Russian Premier League outfit Dynamo Moscow, who have officially confirmed the deal.

Capturing the 33-year-old is a coup for Fortuna, who secured promotion to the German top flight from the 2.Bundesliga last season; they also pipped Ajax to Voronin’s signature.

"Dynamo’s Ukrainian striker Andriy Voronin will play at Fortuna Dusseldorf next season on loan", announced Dynamo Moscow on their official site.

"The term of the agreement will be until 15th June."

Voronin has significant experience of playing in Germany, having turned out for Borussia Monchengladbach, Mainz, Koln, Bayer Leverkusen and Hertha Berlin.

He will now aim to score the goals to keep Fortuna Dusseldorf in the Bundesliga.
