Nigerian left-back Taye Taiwo has joined Ukrainian giants Dynamo Kyiv on loan and is excited about the switch.
Taiwo is under contract with AC Milan, the side he joined last summer on a free transfer from Marseille, but in Italy he has been unable to cement a spot under Massimiliano Allegri.
In fact, the Nigerian even spent the second half of last season on loan at English Premier League club Queens Park Rangers.
Now Dynamo Kyiv have taken the 27-year-old to the Ukraine on loan for the season and with the option of making that permanent next summer for €2M.
"My trip to the Ukraine offers me a great chance to play regularly in the first team", said Taiwo.
"I know that AC Milan is a big club, but I am not the type to just sit there and pick up my salary.
"My transfer to Milan was a dream, but to be honest I never really had the chance to show what I can do – but that’s life."
Taiwo will now aim to help Dynamo Kyiv topple Shakhtar Donetsk from the summit of the Ukrainian Premier League.
