Nice are snapping up striker Dario Cvitanich from Ajax and, all being well, are due to officially present him tomorrow.

Cvitanich was targeted by Nice earlier in the transfer window and the Ligue 1 outfit reached an agreement with Ajax two weeks ago, but the forward was keen to see whether a switch to Argentine giants Boca Juniors was possible; the 28-year-old spent a year on loan with the club last season.

However, the man Ajax paid €6.5M to sign from Banfield in 2008 will now try his luck in France.

Cvitanich has penned a three-year contract with the Ligue 1 side and will hope for better in France than he has experienced in Holland.

The Argentine struggled to establish himself at the Amsterdam ArenA and was quickly written off as a flop.

Cvitanich still has to pass a medical on the south coast of France, though that is not believed to present any problems.
