Lokomotiv Moscow coach Slaven Bilic has told star striker Roman Pavlyuchenko that he expects more from him in the coming weeks.

Pavlyuchenko has managed to find the back of the net once in Lokomotiv’s three Russian Premier League games so far, but he has also had the dubious honour of scoring an own goal too.

And with much expected from former Croatia manager Bilic in the Russian capital, Pavlyuchenko’s goalscoring performances have to arrive soon.

"I understand perfectly that this hasn’t been the best period. And Roman knows that I expect more from him", said Bilic.

"Also because I know how strong a forward he is. Pavlyuchenko is a top level striker.

"I see that he works without sparing himself. And the goals for him will come."

Lokomotiv Moscow host Alania Vladikavkaz in the Russian Premier League later today, a game in which Bilic will hope Pavlyuchenko can find the back of the net.
