Romania international midfielder Banel Nicolita has poured cold water on talk he wants to quit French side Saint-Etienne.
The 27-year-old has been linked with the exit door and his agent is mooted to be on the lookout for a new home for the player.
But Nicolita, who joined Saint-Etienne just last summer from Steaua Bucharest, insists that is not the case.
"I’ve read that", he admitted, when asked about a potential departure from the Greens.
"But I want to fight and play in Europe with Saint-Etienne."
The right-sided player made 19 appearances in Ligue 1 with Saint-Etienne last season, finding the back of the net three times.
He is under contract with the Greens until 2014.
