Valencia have secured Paraguay striker Nelson Valdez from Russian outfit Rubin Kazan.
The 28-year-old has landed at the Mestalla on a season-long loan arrangement, though Los Che will have the option of buying the striker on a permanent basis if he can impress.
Valdez has played in La Liga before, having turned out for Hercules in the 2010/11 campaign.
He left to join Rubin Kazan last summer, though has struggled to score goals in Russian football.
Valdez enjoyed a prolific time in the Bundesliga however, regularly finding the back of the net with Werder Bremen, before moving to Borussia Dortmund.
He will hope to establish himself at Valencia and help the club to move closer to Barcelona and Real Madrid in the standings.
