Lyon left-back Aly Cissokho has been the subject of interest from Spanish outfit Valencia and, with an agreement close between the two clubs, the player is ready to move away from the Stade Gerland.
According to Spanish sources, the Mestalla outfit are keen to replace the already departed Jordi Alba and have earmarked Cissokho as their main target.
However, there is a valuation difference between Los Che and Les Gones over the transfer fee of the former Porto defender.
Lyon have set an €8M asking price for the left-back while the Spanish outfit are not ready to offer more than €6.5M for the 24-year-old.
Los Che are keen on signing Cissokho soon however, and have sent representatives to Lyon in order to strike a deal with Les Gones president Jean-Michel Aulas.
The Blois-born Frenchman started his career with Gueugnon in 2007 before moving to Vitoria Setubal in 2008. After an impressive season with the Portuguese outfit, the left-back was snapped up FC Porto in 2009.
However, his stay with the Portuguese giants did not last long Lyon completed a swoop for him in the summer of the same year.
The player has appeared in 91 Ligue 1 games since his arrival in 2009 and has been an integral part of the set-up at the Stade Gerland in his three years at the club.
It remains to be seen whether Valencia will be able to close the deal for him soon.
