The draw for the 2012/13 UEFA Europa League group stage has been held and some mouthwatering clashes are in prospect.

English giants Liverpool have been placed into Group A and will play Italian Serie A outfit Udinese, Swiss Super League side Young Boys and, in a headline grabbing game, wealthy Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala.

Elsewhere, Napoli will meet PSV Eindhoven in Group F, while Tottenham Hotspur have potentially memorable clashes against Panathinaikos and Lazio to look forward to in Group J.


Also sure to garner much attention are matches between Marseille and Borussia Monchengladbach in Group C and Bordeaux and Newcastle in Group D.
