Winger David Bentley has agreed to join Russian Premier League FC Rostov on a six-month loan deal.
The 28-year-old, who is well down the pecking order at Tottenham Hotspur, has been on the lookout for an opportunity to play regular first team football.
Now he will do that in Russia, at Rostov, a side that finished 13th last season in the country’s top flight.
Bentley joins former Liverpool forward Florent Sinama Pongolle at the club, after the Frenchman signed a two-year contract.
The former Arsenal player has had two loan spells away from Spurs since landing at White Hart Lane in 2008 from Blackburn Rovers, at Birmingham City and West Ham respectively.
Bentley has won seven caps for England.
