Esteban Granero claims that he has not been troubled by having to leave Real Madrid, the club with which he was involved since the age of eight.
The midfielder joined English Premier League side Queens Park Rangers in the summer transfer window, finally giving up the dream of cementing a first team spot at Los Blancos.
Now Granero is concentrating on making an impression at Loftus Road with QPR and is already enjoying life in London, with no regrets over leaving the Bernabeu.
"My move has not caused me any trauma", the 25-year-old told Sportyou.
"I trained from the age of eight with the idea of claiming a place in the first team, but I could not.
"Now I am involved in a project that convinced me as soon as I spoke with the coach and the general manager.
"I am impressed by everything about the club and with London, which oozes multiculturalism."
And, the Spaniard insisted, he has always had his eye on playing in the Premier League, which he now relishes.
"I have always followed the Premier League and always thought I would end up playing here."
Granero has signed a contract which runs until 2016 with QPR and is sure to receive more playing time at Loftus Road than was the case at the Bernabeu.
