Left-back Aly Cissokho is proud to have played for Lyon.
Cissokho was sold by Les Gones over the summer to Spanish giants Valencia and helped his new club to claim their first three points of the season at the weekend by netting the winner in a 2-1 win over Celta Vigo.
For the 25-year-old, La Liga is a big change from Ligue 1, where he regularly turned out for Remi Garde’s men.
Cissokho had long been linked with the Stade Gerland exit door and came close to sealing an exit last summer.
But the Frenchman has cut a positive figure when it comes to looking back at his time with Lyon.
"Lyon was a great experience for me", Cissokho told French radio station RMC.
"I am very proud to have played for OL and to have picked up some great memories.
"I never had any problems inside the club."
Cissokho, who nearly moved to AC Milan before joining Lyon, will now aim to continue his good start in La Liga and help Valencia to at least maintain third place this season, behind Barcelona and Real Madrid.
