Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley has hailed manager Sir Alex Ferguson’s shopping in the summer transfer window.
Ferguson was a skillful operator in the summer market and brought highly rated Japanese schemer Shinji Kagawa in from Borussia Dortmund, young English forward prospect Nick Powell from Crewe Alexandra and, notably, tempted Robin van Persie from Arsenal to Old Trafford.
relatedNewsStory All three have already settled at the club and there is little doubt they have impressed their team-mates both in training and games, with Cleverley hammering home the point.
The midfielder has particularly enjoyed operating next to Kagawa in the engine room.
"I’ve really enjoyed playing with Shinji", Cleverley told Inside United.
"He’s really on my wavelength when it comes to playing one and two-touch football", he added.
And the England international is delighted that Powell and Van Persie were signed too.
"They’ve all brought so much", Cleverley continued.
"We all know what Robin van Persie is about and Nick Powell is a really good footballer and a good lad. He’s definitely one for the future."
Manchester United dug deep to beat Cluj 2-1 in the Champions League earlier this week, with Cleverley starting the game.
Van Persie also played, while Kagawa and Powell found themselves on the bench.
