Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini has praised manager David Moyes, saluting the Scot’s eye for talent.
Moyes has brought some superb Premier League performers to Goodison Park for a fraction of the price the club’s rivals have paid and Everton have reaped the dividends, punching far above their financial weight.
relatedNewsStoryFellaini has revealed that Moyes does his homework in person, watching targets at close quarters, in contrast to many teams who rely mostly on scouting reports, with the man in charge then only taking a brief look.
"He really has an eye for talent", Fellaini told French sports daily L’Equipe.
"Before he wanted to take me to Everton, he came to watch me many times in the Belgian league", added the midfielder.
And Fellaini also spoke of his happiness at Goodison Park, insisting Everton are now like family to him.
"With him as a coach, you always work hard. He is very demanding, but at the same time he is also close to his players.
"Everton therefore are just like a family."
The continued presence of the 24-year-old at Everton has been in doubt in recent months, with speculation he is looking for a move.
However, the Belgian now appears to be cutting a content figure.
