Monaco boss Claudio Ranieri has reflected on two points dropped for his side last night after a 0-0 draw.

The principality club were in action against Chateauroux in Ligue 2 and were widely expected to pick up the win at their Stade Louis II home.

And Monaco were forced to settle for a 0-0 draw and just a point.

Ranieri was quick to point to an absence of luck to explain the blank scoresheet, but the Italian also admitted his side waited too long before really turning it on.

"In the second half, we created many chances, but could have done with a bit more luck to score", said Ranieri.

"The opposition defended very well.

"Certainly on our part there were mistakes. We waited too long to start playing."

Despite the draw, Monaco stay top of Ligue 2.
