Veteran Brazilian schemer Alex has sealed a return to his homeland after signing a contract with Coritiba.
The 35-year-old joins as a free agent, having terminated his contract with Turkish giants Fenerbahce two weeks ago.
relatedNewsStoryAlex became an icon at the Yellow Canaries, signing for the club in 2004 from Brazilian outfit Cruzeiro.
He enjoyed much success in Istanbul and became a stalwart of the Fenerbahce side.
Alex won three Super Lig titles, one Turkish Cup and two Turkish Super Cups, as well as regularly appearing in European competition for Fenerbahce.
By joining Coritiba, Alex has returned to the very club at which he launched his professional career in 1995.
The attacking midfielder first moved to Europe in 2002, enduring a brief, unsuccessful spell with Italian side Parma.
At international level Alex won 49 caps for Brazil between 1996 and 2005.
