Edgar Davids has praised Barnet’s young players and added that he has been impressed by the League Two club’s vision for the future.
Barnet pulled off a coup recently when they snapped up Davids as both a player and joint-manager, a move which has more than agreed with the 39-year-old as he gains vital coaching experience.
In a further sign of his enthusiasm for the fourth tier English side, Davids recently revealed that he is registered as an amateur and does not take home a wage from Underhill.
Now the former Juventus midfielder has spoken warmly about the club he has encountered on his London doorstep.
"The advantage of Barnet is that they have good young players", he told Dutch daily De Volksrant, "and a vision which matches that which I have in mind."
Davids, who has played for Barnet against Northampton and Wycombe already, also expressed his delight to be back playing once again.

Barnet could also not be happier at Davids having signed up, with the sight of a player who has graced some of football’s biggest stages now treading the turf at Underhill being a delight.
"It is incredible that Davids has come to play for us", said one supporter.
"We are at the bottom of League Two and suddenly we have a player-manager who has played for Ajax, Barcelona, Inter, Juventus and Spurs."
Barnet are next in action tomorrow, when they face a tough trip to Chesterfield, who have just appointed a new manager in Paul Cook.
