Wolfsburg have added Guus Hiddink to their shortlist of possible successors to Felix Magath.

The Wolves parted company with Magath last week, with the club rock bottom of the Bundesliga after an appalling start to the season.

The side instantly produced a better result than those recorded with the former Bayern Munich man at the helm, thrashing Fortuna Dusseldorf 4-1 today.

Summer signing Bas Dost notched a brace and Wolfsburg could head down the Dutch path with their next appointment.

Thought to be under consideration at the Volkswagen Arena are Dutch pair Bert van Marwijk, the former Holland coach, and current Anzhi Makhachkala boss Hiddink.

It remains to be seen whether Hiddink would drop his project at the wealthy Dagestan giants to head to Germany.
