Lionel Messi insists he does not concern himself with Cristiano Ronaldo, either the Portuguese’s situation at Real Madrid or the endless comparisons being made between the two players.
Ronaldo is considered to be Messi’s main opposition for this year’s Ballon d’Or and perhaps the only player who can stop the Barcelona wizard from winning his fourth such accolade in a row.
But Messi does not take any notice of his rival, either his performances on the pitch, or the recent controversy off it, when Ronaldo scored a brace, but claimed to be feeling "sad" and appeared to have a disagreement with Los Blancos.
In fact, the Argentine is even tiring a little of the constant comparisons between himself and Ronaldo.
"That does not concern me and I do not care. Everyone does what they want", said the Argentine, when asked by France Football about Ronaldo’s recent behaviour.
"It is not for me to make value judgements", he added.

"They want competition between us in anything.
"I am a bit tired of it."
It remains to be seen whether Ronaldo can stop Messi from claiming what would be his fourth Ballon d’Or, or whether the little Argentine will write himself another page in the history books.
