AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has called for his players to roll their sleeves up and drag the side up the Serie A standings.
Milan suffered yet another damaging defeat yesterday, going down 3-1 at home against Fiorentina. It was a result which lives the club mired in mid-table, sitting 13th with 14 points from 12 games, and increased the pressure on Allegri.
Now the former Cagliari coach is hoping for a reaction from his players which will allow the side to go on a winning run.
"We gave two goals away and we should have done better. You can’t concede two goals from a throw in. When games are as balanced as this one you can’t concede anything because then everything gets difficult", bemoaned Allegri to his club’s official site.
"It would have been great for the players to win here today but we could not do it.
"Now we have to roll up our sleeves and pull ourselves up."
Milan have a brief respite this week, with the international scene taking centre stage.

After that, Allegri’s men are in Champions League action with a trip to Anderlecht on the agenda – failure to navigate through the group stage would surely put the coach under huge pressure.
And there is no let up in the big games, with Juventus the visitors to the San Siro when Milan return from Brussels.
