Former AC Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso believes that his old club are becoming sloppy when it comes to vetting players before signing them.
Gattuso, who left the San Siro this summer to join Swiss Super League side Sion, has watched his old club struggle in Serie A this season, with pressure growing on coach Massimiliano Allegri.
The veteran midfielder remembered that when he played for the Rossoneri, a team looked after everything regarding a player, allowing the player to focus just on the football and nothing else.
"The players only thought of football, because there was an organisation which thought of everything else.
"If I have gone, it is because this has also gone a bit."
And Gattuso identified young French forward M’Baye Niang as a failure of the new system.
"When Milan take a young player such as M’Baye Niang, certainly a very good player, but every day he accumulates trouble.

Niang has found adapting to life at Milan difficult, notably being found driving without a licence.
