Striker Nicklas Bendtner has admitted he is happy the international break has arrived as it allows him a brief respite from his hectic time at Juventus.
Bendtner joined the Italian champions on a season-long loan from English giants Arsenal during the summer, but has only seen limited playing time so far, with Juventus giving him ample time to adapt.
Lately the 24-year-old has seen more minutes on the pitch and he has now played five times in Serie A, although three of those appearances have come from the bench and he has yet to hit the back of the net.
Playing time at international level is not a problem though, with Bendtner one of Denmark’s chief goal threats.
And the striker will hope for luck in front of goal on Wednesday, when Denmark meet Turkey in a friendly.
But regardless of the result, Bendtner is glad of a little break from the club scene.
"It has been a hectic start for me in Juventus", he told Bold.dk.
relatedNewsStory"I had to find a new place to live, meet a lot of new people, learn a new match system, new coach and new language.
"With that in mind, it is nice to come home, get a little rest, clear my head and get back to playing for the national team, to then come back with renewed energy."
Bendtner will be winning his 55th cap for his country if he plays against Turkey.
The striker has scored 21 goals for Denmark.
