Fenerbahce are hot on the heels of former Tottenham Hotspur striker Roman Pavlyuchenko, according to Russian daily Izvestia, despite the player’s agent insisting he is "fine" with his stay at Lokomotiv Moscow.
Pavlyuchenko’s time at Spurs ended in the January transfer window in 2012 when he came to the Russian capital, and he has managed 30 appearances in his season-and-a-half so far.
However, the limited game time means he is a prime target for clubs elsewhere, and it is understood Fenerbahce are in line for a swoop for the player whose contract runs until 2015.
They finished second in the Turkish league this season, and can guarantee Champions League football for Pavlyuchenko, a challenge he does not get at ninth-placed Lokomotiv.

Lokomotiv, however, are keen to secure at least €8m for the player but Pavlyuchenko’s agent Oleg Artemov has rejected any notion of a concrete deal so far.
Artemov told Izvestia: "It is far too early to talk about something like this. Roman has a valid contract with Lokomotiv and, as far as I know, he is fine with it.
"As for the possible departure of Pavlyuchenko from Lokomotiv during the summer transfer window, so far we have not discussed that question.
"We have not thought about the options and we have to wait a bit."
Pavlyuchenko had become a fan favourite at White Hart Lane during his three-and-a-half year stay, where he made 113 appearances and scored 42 goals, with long-range strikes a particular speciality.
Fenerbahce have shown interest in Pavlyuchenko before, with a bid considered in October last year, around the same time that Monaco were lining themselves up as well.
