Andre Schurrle’s agent expects his client to join Chelsea within the next few days.

The Blues have been negotiating hard to sign the Germany international from Bayer Leverkusen, but the Bundesliga outfit have been playing hardball and wanted to take Kevin De Bruyne on a season-long loan as part of the deal.

That plan collapsed though, with new Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho deciding that De Bruyne should remain at Stamford Bridge.

But Leverkusen are now close to snapping up South Korean forward Son Heung-Min from Hamburg, who will serve as a replacement of sorts for Schurrle.

And that leads Schurrle’s agent Ingo Haspel to strike a confident note about his client’s chances of moving to Chelsea soon.

"In the coming days, I expect that everything will be in place and finally there will be an agreement between the parties", he was quoted as saying by Tutto Mercato.

It remains to be seen whether Haspel’s optimism is well-founded. The agent had claimed in April that he thought a deal was very close to completion.
