Arsenal centre-forward Olivier Giroud believes that the 2013/14 season will be a very important 12 months for him as well as for the Gunners.
The 26-year-old Frenchman arrived at the Emirates Stadium last summer and scored 17 times out of 47 appearances in his debut English Premier League campaign.
The former Montpellier striker is now looking forward to the upcoming season and he has explained that there will be a lot of challenges ahead.
“It is a massively important season with a lot of challenges”, Giroud told the Arsenal Magazine.

“I will become a dad for the first time, which will be an enormous change.
“I also really want to establish myself with Arsenal and make a name for myself here. Finally, I dream of playing at the World Cup in Brazil next summer as well. I played in the last Euros but this would be even more amazing. I am really excited about the season to come.”
The Gunners finished fourth in the Premier League this term, with 73 points – just one clear of their North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
They also enjoyed an impressive campaign from the start of the year, losing just three out of 19 games since January.
Giroud has also insisted that the Gunners must focus on ensuring they start the new campaign well.
“If we start better than we did this season, I know that we can compete for the title because we are used to playing together now.
“We have improved as a team but also as individuals throughout the season, especially the newcomers like Santi [Cazorla], Lukas [Podolski] and me", he added.
