Real Madrid schemer Luka Modric has explained that his former Tottenham Hotspur team-mate Gareth Bale would fit perfectly into life at Los Blancos.
The sensational Spurs winger has been heavily linked with the Madrid giants, with club president Florentino Perez admitting his admiration for the Welshman.
The 23-year-old has a contract at White Hart Lane until June 2016, and Modric, who has played with the former Southampton player between 2008 and 2012, believes Bale would give Real Madrid another dimension were he to arrive at the Bernabeu.
“Since Real Madrid are the team of Galacticos, Bale would fit perfectly, we could really use him”, the Croatia international told Spanish daily Marca.

“He would give the team another dimension. He will bring his shots, his strength, his speed, his attacking power. He is the type of player who could help us take a step forward."
Modric moved to the Santiago Bernabeu from Spurs last summer, but failed to lift any silverware with the club in the 2012/13 season.
Los Blancos, under former manager Jose Mourinho, finished second in La Liga, behind El Clasico rivals Barcelona.
Real Madrid were also knocked out of the Champions League in the semi-finals this term, and also lost against Madrid rivals Atletico Madrid in the final of the Copa del Rey.
Commenting on his own future with the Spanish giants, Modric insisted that he is more than happy to be with the nine-time European champions.
“I have no doubt [about my future here]. I want to remain with the best club in the world.
“For me it is a privilege to be here, and I want to show a lot more in the future and I consider nothing else but continuing next season”, he added.
Modric’s contract at the Santiago Bernabeu runs until June 2017.
