Chelsea’s midfield talisman Juan Mata is not worried about his future at Stamford Bridge under new boss Jose Mourinho, adding that he would rather employ "simple logic" than be swayed by baseless talk.

Mata once again proved to be a prime factor in Chelsea’s midfield during the last campaign, creating a total 54 goals (19 scored, 35 assisted) in what proved to be a very productive season for the Spanish international.

His top-notch performances week in, week out for the London giants have made admirers of both the club’s fans as well as the the powers that be inside Stamford Bridge, something that Mata appreciates.

"When I finished the season I was told that they were very happy with my performances and with the two years I’ve spent with the club. I have three years left on my contract. I’m very happy with Chelsea", Mata told Spanish daily Marca.

When asked to comment on rumours that Mourinho has no plans for him, the player answered: "Nobody at Chelsea has told me that Mourinho wants me out."

The tireless playmaker added that he would rather wait on what the new boss has to say about him personally before making any decisions.

"Mourinho? I’d prefer to wait until I meet him and work with him before I judge him. That’s simple logic", the 25-year-old concluded.
