Serie A side Napoli appear to have hit a brick wall in attempting to bring Valencia centre-back Adil Rami to the Stadio San Paolo, according to Sky Italia.
Rami, 27, was signed by Valencia from French side Lille in January of 2011, finally arriving in the summer of the same year. Since then, the defender has been a key figure in the defensive structure of the Mestalla outfit.
Los Che’s highly-rated defender is in the crosshairs of many clubs across Europe, notably two English heavyweights Arsenal and Manchester United, both of whom have heavily linked with signing up Rami.
And while it is clear that Napoli have every intention to sabotage any plans on Rami’s part to fly to England, the Azzurri themselves may have hit a hindrance in their bid as Valencia are refusing to let go of their player for less than €12m – Napoli, as it stands, will only go as far as €9m.

Rami’s contract with Valencia will see him locked down at the Mestalla until the end of the 2014/15 campaign.
Rami has earned a total 26 caps for France at international level, scoring a goal along the way.
