Bahrain’s Olympic football coach Anthony Hudson insists he is not looking to make a move for men’s senior team dugout, after agreeing a contract extension with his present job.
Hudson, who has enjoyed a spell as a coach under Harry Redknapp’s tenure at Tottenham Hotspur, has been coaching Bahrain’s Under-23 team since March last year.
He recently penned a two-year extension with his employers, as Bahrain prepare for next year’s Asian Games extravaganza in Incheon, South Korea.
And despite reports that men’s senior coach Gabriel Calderon will step down at the end of this month, Hudson does not bother himself with thoughts of possible promotion.

"The federation has been really supportive of me", he told Gulf Daily News. "They’ve helped as much as possible with what I’ve wanted and I’m very grateful for that.
"I’m a very ambitious coach and I always want to be progressing when an opportunity presents itself.
"But right now, what I am focused on is getting our Olympic team working hard together and winning the [Gulf Cooperation Council] tournament here in Bahrain."
The former Newport County manager is keen for his young charges to make the most of a home tournament, especially when facing much stiffer opposition such as the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
"Training has been very good so far", he added. "We still have a long way to go, especially on fitness, but I like what I’ve been seeing from the players.
"There’s not going to be one easy game for us in the Gulf Cup. Every match will be tough.
"I would say Saudi and UAE are the strongest teams, but we will never overlook any other team."
