Neymar’s time at Barcelona is expected to yield titles galore for both player and team, but his future colleague Cesc Fabregas has warned of the ills of letting pride overtake passion.
With a €190m release clause slapped on him, experts have already started predicting Ballon d’Or awards for the Brazilian to rival Barcelona’s current star Lionel Messi.
Neymar gave yet another glimpse of his talent when he fired in a superb volley in the Confederations Cup curtain raiser to set Brazil on their way to a 3-0 win over Japan.
Fabregas, though, wants Neymar to emulate the example set by Messi who, despite several team titles and Ballon d’Or triumphs, is hungry for even further success.

"Egos are very controlled on this team", Fabregas said to AS. "Messi has four [Ballon d’Or] awards and is probably the best player ever.
"Yet, you see him in the morning and he does not look like a player who’s won all that."
While Neymar has scored more than 100 goals in his professional career so far, it has primarily been an association with Brazil.
And Fabregas, who well knows the difficulties of changing an environment following his eight years with Arsenal, has urged football fans to give the 21-year-old enough space.
The Spaniard added: "Neymar will need time to adapt because he comes from a place that plays a completely different football to what is found here.
"We must help him get ahead and bring us good nights at the Camp Nou."
