Atletico Mineiro winger Bernard could well be heading towards Tottenham Hotspur after the player’s agent revealed Borussia Dortmund are yet to submit an offer.

Bernard has been making waves in Brazil with his 60 appearances and 11 goals, after his graduation from the youth ranks.

The Brazilian is currently in the Selecao squad for the Confederations Cup, albeit without first team experience in the competition, and his value has attracted interest from "five clubs" as announced by his club president.

Alexandre Kalil had claimed he would find it very difficult to keep the player at Mineiro after the Copa Libertadores, and it appears Tottenham could be in pole position to land the 20-year-old.

Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund were expected to give Spurs competition in the race for Bernard, but there is no solid interest as yet from the Bundesliga side.

Bernard’s agent Moyses explained to Portuguese sports daily O Jogo that, "Dortmund have not submitted an enquiry, which is why Tottenham are the only suitors."

Jurgen Klopp’s men had been expected to out forward a €15m offer for Bernard, but with Dortmund potentially out of the race, it remains to be seen if the winger’s value will come down for Spurs.
