Brazilian legend Pele feels that Bayern Munich still have some way to go to be considered the best team in Europe.

The Bavarians won the Bundesliga, German Cup and Champions League last season – and all in impressive fashion.

"When you win the Champions League, that does not mean you’re the strongest team in Europe", the Brazilian told German daily Bild.

"Santos did it in my time, while in Europe, Benfica, Ajax, AC Milan and Real Madrid had such a period."

Bayern Munich will be under new management in 2013/14 as former Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola takes charge at the Allianz Arena.

He will face a tough task living up to his predecessor Jupp Heynckes’ achievements.
