Ex-Juventus defender Mark Iuliano has urged his former club to buy Carlos Tevez rather than Stevan Jovetic, as the Manchester City striker is a man who can make an immediate impact.
Iuliano turned out for the Bianconeri between 1996 and 2004, scooping up four Serie A titles and one UEFA Cup, amid numerous other trinkets.
The defender also won 19 caps for Italy on the international stage as he proved himself a reliable performer.
Now 39 years old, Iuliano is firm in his opinion of just who Juventus should swoop for this summer, with the field seemingly having narrowed to either Fiorentina’s Stevan Jovetic or Manchester City’s Carlos Tevez, in the hunt to find a world-class partner for newly-arrived Fernando Llorente.

Jovetic has been linked with English sides Arsenal and Manchester City, while Real Madrid have been listed as suitors too. And in the Tevez race, AC Milan and Monaco could yet provide opposition.
"He is a player of enormous potential, but the Juventus shirt is a heavy one to wear", Iuliano said of Jovetic to Tutto Mercato.
"If I had to choose, I would not doubt a player like Tevez.
"Jovetic is a prospect, but to win now and make a difference in Europe, you need someone like Tevez", he concluded.
