Lazio president Claudio Lotito has insisted that the club have no intention of selling star schemer Hernanes.
The 28-year-old Brazil international has been linked with French giants Paris Saint-Germain this summer, as well as big-spending Monaco – who have been promoted to the French top flight.
Lotito explained that although Hernanes is admired by other clubs, he is "untouchable", such is his importance to Lazio.
“It’s nice enough to know that Hernanes is liked by others, but no one seems better for him than us”, Lotito told Italian daily Il Messagero.

“We have no intention of selling him. Hernanes is untouchable, because he is a vital part of our project.”
Hernanes – who switched to the Eagles in the summer of 2010 – won back-to-back Brazilian League titles with Sao Paulo in 2007 and 2008.
He was also recognized as the Brazilian Footballer of the Year in 2008.
He clocked up a whopping 53 appearances for his club last season, scoring 14 times and assisting eight times.
Lazio finished seventh in Serie A in the 2012/13 season and also clinched the Italian Cup.
