Brett Holman’s disappointing stint at Premier League side Aston Villa has come to an end, with United Arab Emirates outfit Al Nasr snapping him up on a reported two-year deal.
Holman, who helped Australia secure their World Cup berth for next year in the recent 1-0 win over Japan, managed just 16 starts for the Villans under manager Paul Lambert.
The former Feyenoord midfielder enjoyed title success in 2009 whilst at AZ Alkmaar, but had been considering his future in England after Villa narrowly avoided relegation.
And Al Nasr have come calling for the 29-year-old, with media reports in both Australia and the UAE suggesting a two-year deal had been struck.

The Emirate outfit, who only recently announced former Apoel Nicosia manager Ivan Jovanovic as their new head coach, finished sixth in the Etisalat Pro-League last season.
"Brett represents a strong signing for us as he’s an international player who has played in England, one of the top leagues in Europe", Nasr board member Fahad Hadi was quoted by Dubai newspaper The National as saying.
"He has the qualities that we needed at Al Nasr and, most importantly, he has a lot of experience. It’s good to have someone with that knowledge in our squad, and he will only improve the team."
Holman is expected to undergo a medical at the club within the next 48 hours, before being officially presented as a player.
