Wales national team legend John Hartson has expressed his belief that Craig Bellamy’s Premier League experience will prove "massive" for newly-promoted side Cardiff City as they engage in their maiden season in the English top flight.
Bellamy helped in bringing Cardiff to the top of the Championship table last season by scoring four goals in his 33 league appearances for the club.
But more than his attacking ability, Hartson believes Bellamy’s experience with the likes of West Ham United, Manchester City and Liverpool could prove crucial for the Welsh side’s run in the Premier League.
"He will be massive for Malky Mackay next season. Craig’s got great experience of the Premier League. He’s got real quality", Hartson told the BBC.

The former Welsh footballer added: "Craig’s obviously had a wonderful career at West Ham, [Man] City and Liverpool. He’s vastly experienced."
Cardiff’s first fixture for the 2013/14 season will be against West Ham at Upton Park.
